Vermont Precision began in 1968 grinding pins, punches and other cylindrical blanks. That precision grinding experience grew the Gage division in 1980 for the manufacture of a wide range of gage pins and sets. Nine years later the gage line expanded to include all classes of tolerances. Additionally, Vermont gage has broadened their capabilities to include taperlock gages, ring gages, and thread ring gages. In 2000, Vermont Gage opened a new ISO 17025 / ISO 9001 advanced thread manufacturing plant in Franklin, Kentucky.
