How It Works
The OASIS works by utilizing an LED light source to collimate precise rays through a series of specially designed diffusers and lenses that shine across the part to be inspected. That image is then captured by a telecentric optical lens, which results in a near perfect monochrome profile of the inspected part. The part profile is then digitally captured with a camera system and transferred to the custom onboard computer where the software does the evaluation. The image is analyzed and measurement data is displayed on-screen.
The User Experience
When a part is placed in the OASIS, the user will see the digital image of the profile of the part to be inspected. OASIS will search and automatically (NO BUTTONS TO PUSH) find the appropriate part inspection program that includes the dimensions the user wishes to measure. Since the system captures images in real-time, every time another part is placed onto the pedastool, each and every dimension is simultaneously and instantly updated.
What happens to the Data?
OASIS features built-in inspection reporting. The software includes a live color-coded display panel that shows the actual measured dimension with user-defined upper and lower limits. Pass/Fail indications are easily identifiable for all measurements. Measured values are recorded and stored as parts are inspected. Those results can be imported into the OASIS Inspection Reporting feature which will create a custom report that can be printed or saved.
