The L. S. Starrett Company, founded in 1880, manufactures more than 5,000 variations of Precision Tools, Gages, Measuring Instruments and Saw Blades for industrial, professional and consumer markets worldwide. Today, the company employs about 1,800 people worldwide. Most precision tools continue to be manufactured in the Athol plant, where it is not uncommon to see devoted generations of toolmakers with 30 or more years of experience.

The broad Starrett product line includes precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, rules, etc.), levels, electronic gages, dial indicators, bore gages, granite surface plates and custom engineered products. The company offers metrology equipment including optical comparators (measuring projectors), video measuring systems, force testing machines and form & roundness machines. The precision group also includes the American made (Westlake, Ohio) Webber gage blocks, optical flats, angle gage blocks, croblox gage blocks and reference bars.

Starrett tools are made to the highest standard of quality and workmanship. Every tool in the hands of our customers to be accurate and satisfactory. If any tool is found not to be of Starrett quality, please contact Starrett in Athol, Massachusetts to arrange a return of that tool.

Profile360:
Profile360 is an in-line, real-time, non-contact measurement system for continuously monitoring key profile dimensions in complex shapes such as rubber, ceramic, plastic, and wood-plastic composite extrusions, roll-formed metal profiles, and profiled wire. Profile360 employs CrossCheck Line Laser Sensors to digitize the profile, compare it to a CAD template, and continuously monitor key dimensions. Dimension changes often indicate a change in material, equipment, or process, resulting in poor quality or high scrap or reclaim cost.

Force Measurement Testing Systems:
The Starrett FMS Series is a family of new and innovative force measurement systems. Available in four load capacities, these universal testing systems are ideal for general purpose force testing, demanding high-volume production testing, and exacting quality control testing.
Starrett force measurement systems are your solution for tensile, compression, flexural, shear, coefficient of friction, and cyclic testing. You can easily and efficiently perform push/ pull testing, break testing, constant hold testing or tests that must meet international testing standards from ASTM, ISO, BS, DIN and others.
The FMS Series consist of a single-column electro-mechanical testing frame, combined with our L2 Series digital controller and a Starrett load cell sensor.
